Information Management

S1 Consulting and CARBONcontrol can provide and help you implement an end-to-end environmental solution for carbon, energy, water and waste that allows medium to large organisations to track, monitor and manage all of their carbon, water and energy usage and waste production, including products, plant, facilities, fleet and travel. We can help you track your costs and usage, establish strategies and targets for carbon, energy, water and waste reduction, track progress in real time, and present a balance sheet to demonstrate annual improvements and progress towards targets and any consequent cost reductions.

One of the key benefits of the CARBONcontrol system is that it supports the integrated collation of data from a variety of other corporate systems and smart meters, and the automated import and recognition of this data in the system. Due to the flexibility of the framework, data interchange and interfaces can be deployed on a point-to-point basis to capture data from legacy and third-party systems to avoid additional data-capture or input burdens. Data input portals can also be set up for third-parties.

Once deployed, the CARBONcontrol system allows a real-time, up-to-date mechanism for the review, analysis, targeting and reporting of an organisation’s carbon, energy, water and waste emissions, abatement methodology and offset investment performance (with compliance to international and national standards and protocols).

Strategy Development and Implementation

Following from the definition and information management phases, we work with you to develop and implement a consolidated strategy to manage your carbon and other resource footprints in line with your organisation’s business goals and requirements.

Through this process, we will help you develop carbon reduction targets, the required actions to achieve these targets, and an investment strategy for carbon offsets and abatement measures. We can work with you to identify, assess the feasibility and manage your involvement in a range of offset and abatement investments, including forestry and other agribusiness resource projects. We also work with you to establish and manage ongoing accounting and reporting mechanisms.
